Dr. Yi Zhang is one of the Top 10 High Impact authors in the world in the fields of Molecular Biology and Genetics from 2002 to 2006 and one of the World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds in 2014 selected by Thomas Reuters.  His breakthrough discoveries of key enzymes in epigenetics include (1) histone deacetylase NuRD complex, (2) almost all histone methyltransferases, (3) histone ubiqutin E3 ligase, (4) the JmjC domain-containing histone demethylases, and (5) enzymes involved in DNA demethylation (the top burning issue in epigenetics) and the brand new DNA bases.  His lab has published more than 150 outstanding papers and more than 1/2 are in Cell/Nature/Science, their sister journals and Gene Dev.
