暑假過一半了

一則以喜 (表示我愛的秋冬快來了)，一則以憂 (表示要寫一大堆報告和計劃的季節快到了) . 放下又喜又憂的未來不講，我要與大家分享最近一些頭頸癌的大paper: (1)務必上網聽聽2012/11這個網站的第11個talk. 講者Dr. David Hayes是UNC的MD/MPH. 繼這個symposium之後，今年4月AACR abstract 1117 /PressConference 以及之後6月份 Oncology Times都又陸續添加他發表的相關結果。 重點有二，(1) HNSCC 和Lung SCC的genomic mutation landscape具相似性。並且可依expression profile把HNSCC分成四個subtype: basal (BA), atypical (AT), mesenchymal (MS), classical (CL). HPV+ve的sample多落在atypical type. (2) HPV+ve 和 HPV-ve在許多molecular signature上都不相同。TCGA把這種paper叫”marker paper”. Lung SCC的marker paper在去年9月出刊 (連結)、HNSCC的應該快要出來了(279位病人)。 (2) 作者本身是UNC的醫生，這個group 他們在二月份PLoS ONE也發了一篇marker paper (138位病人) (連結) . 然後文章中又與他們在2004年的Cancer Cell(60位病人, 連結) 做比較。
